The fugitive:
Bernie Morales Villanueva, 45.

When and where:
Feb. 10, 2007, near Sonoita.

Investigators:
Deputy U.S. Marshal Patrick Conover.
Summary: On Feb. 9, 2007, Villanueva — a former Border Patrol agent — traveled to Nogales, Sonora, and met with his girlfriend, court documents say.
While in Nogales, Villanueva and his girlfriend ran into a man at a bar, the document says. The man asked Villanueva to drive two people to Tucson, to which he agreed, because he planned to leave the following morning. On Feb. 10, a Border Patrol agent stopped the vehicle Villanueva was driving near Sonoita, the document said. Inside were two passengers. The agent tried to question the passengers concerning their citizenship, but Villanueva interrupted, saying they were "good to go," according to the document. The agent separated Villanueva from the passengers, who admitted that they were not U.S. citizens and were in the country illegally, the document said. Villanueva was arrested and taken into custody. The latest information: In March 2007, Villanueva pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport and harbor illegal entrants and was sentenced to time served, court documents show. He was, however, required to complete three years of supervised release. Six months later, in September 2007, a warrant was issued for Villanueva for violating the conditions of his release, Conover said. He had failed to report to authorities and changed his place of residence. He is now believed to be hiding in Nogales, Sonora, and may be crossing at the international ports of entry through the pedestrian lanes, Conover said. Villanueva has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, assault and impersonating an officer, online court records show. He is considered armed and dangerous. Villanueva is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has hazel eyes. When and Where:
April 24, 2004, in the 2800 block of West Quail Road, near West Bilby Road and South Camino de la Tierra.

The Victim:
Joseph Anthony Simental, 27.

Investigators:
Sgt. Brad Foust with the Pima County Sheriff`s Department cold-case unit.

Summary:
Simental was found shot to death about 3:30 a.m. on April 24, 2004, at his cousin`s home on the Southwest Side, authorities said. Deputies were called to the house and found Simental dead on the floor with at least one gunshot wound, according to Arizona Daily Star archives. Detectives interviewed the property owners, one of whom was Simental`s cousin, and learned he had arrived at the house in the late evening with two other men, both of whom were in their mid-20s.
The owners were in another room when they heard shots, the Star reported after the shooting. They went to check on the noise, found Simental shot on the floor and called authorities. At the time, Deputy Dawn Hanke, a Pima County Sheriff`s Department spokeswoman, said investigators believed the people with him may have killed him. In a recent e-mail, Hanke said suspects have been identified in the case, but nothing solid has been developed, and she couldn`t comment on whether the people with him had anything to do with the shooting. No information about what prompted the shooting has been released. The Latest Information: There is no new information at this time, according to Hanke.

Fugitive:  Daniel Alfonso Hernandez, 44.

When and where:  Various dates in 1993 at various locations throughout Tucson.

Investigators:  Ruben Rosales of the Pima County Adult Probation Warrants Unit.

Summary:  In July 1993, an 8-year-old girl told her friend whom she was visiting that Hernandez, her stepfather, had been molesting her, according to court documents. The first incident was said to have occurred in January 1993 while the girl slept with her mother and stepfather because a visiting relative was sleeping in her bed, documents show. Her mother left the room to go to the bathroom and at that time Hernandez began touching her inappropriately, according to documents.
Another incident occurred the following month when the girl and Hernandez were going to pick up her mother from work, according to documents. While they were in the truck, he touched her inappropriately again. The same thing happened a month later in March while the girl and Hernandez were watching TV and her mother was at work, the documents state. In each incident he told the girl not to tell her mother. The girl`s friend told her mother, who reported it to police, documents said. During the investigation, police were unable to find Hernandez until he was arrested Dec. 20, 1994.

The latest information: On Sept. 12, 1995, Hernandez was convicted of molestation of a child and was placed on probation for five years. He began violating his probation in spring 1997, according to Rosales. He also failed to participate in sex-offender treatment. Hernandez has family in Tucson, but Rosales believes he has been crossing between Mexico and Arizona using aliases. Some of those aliases include Daniel Alfonso Lopez, Daniel Alfonso Hernandez-Lopez, Renee Lopez Vega and Daniel Kenny Hernandez. "He is a sex offender and he needs to be supervised," Rosales said. "We don`t know what he is doing or if he is re-offending, so we hope the public can assist us."

Suspects Description:  Hernandez is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
